Organisational Achievements
The project submitted by him for developmentVarian 2100 CD of oncology wing in Govt. Medical College, Kottayam was approved by central govt. and an assistance of Rs. 50 lakhs was issued in the year 1993-94 which lead to the commissioning of Theratron 780 Cobalt Unit at Govt. Medical College, Kottayam. In 1999 another project was submitted to central govt. and a sum of Rs. 2 crores was sanctioned resulting in purchase and installation of Computerised Treatment Planning System, Digital Simulator and HDR remote afterloading system for Cancer Care Center.

In 2006 the balance of central assistance of Rs. 1 crore was obtained from central govt. and successful steps could be taken for the purchase and installation of the first ever Linear Accelerator (Varian™ 2100 CD) and Eclipse Treatment Planning Computer with workstation in a Govt Medical College in India. Also he could motivate Mr. P.J.Kurian MP to donate a C-arm Image Intensifier for starting intra operative brachytherapy at Govt. Medical College, Kottayam.

After joining Thrissur Govt. Medical College in 2001 the oncology block was completed, a new oncology OP block was also constructed. During this period a new cobalt unit was installed and commissioned and teletherapy was started for the first time at Thrissur Medical College. A project was submitted and central assistance of Rs.120 lakhs was made available for purchase and installation of a most modern HDR remote afterloading system and 3D Treatment Planning System with facilities for image fusion and CT based brachytherapy dosimetry. A sum of unutilised money of Rs. 39 lakhs was traced under savings for Cancer Care, Thrissur Dist from which Rs. 19 lakhs was handed over for Cancer Care at Thrissur Govt. Medical College.

In Alappuzha he could involve Mr. Sunil Dutt MP, in obtaining central assistance for purchase of Cobalt teletherapy at TDMC Alappuzha.

He was general secretary of KGMCTA (Kerala Govt. Medical College Teacher's Association) in 1988 during which time the association had maximum membership and activities.

He was the secretary of Association of Radiation Oncologists of India, Kerala Chapter from 2001-2003 and was the organising secretary of National Conference of AROI - "AROICON 2003" held at Hotel Le Meridian, Kochi.

An international conference on multidisciplinary management of common cancers "Oncology 2009" was held at Hotel Lake Song, Kumarakom, Kottayam in May 2009 under his chairmanship.

He was the organising chairman, Oncology 2012 held at Hotel Samudra and G.V.Raja Convention Centre, Kovalam in May 2012.
